The 2003 Order of Merit Scoring system Although non-members are listed in the Order, only fully paid up society members are eligible to win the prizes. The order of merit is calculated by awarding points dependant on players finishing positions in each of the seasons 8 Singles competitions. The number of points awarded to each player depends on the number of total players in the competition and the players finishing position in the Stableford points tally for each competition. One extra point is awarded to each of the winners of the Nearest the Pin, Nearest the Pin on 2nd shot and Longest Drive competitions at each of the 8 Singles competitions.
