Present:

1. Minutes of previous meeting 9th February 2001 were agreed.

2. Matters arising:
  • Courses to view for future days:
  • Sand Martins (Ian Turvill)
    Bramley (Paul Donlevy)
    Effingham
    Traditions
  • All day match:
  • Agreed to try one event with different competitions for am and pm rounds. Stableford in the am with Texas Scramble/Greensomes in pm. Details to be agreed prior to the date.
  • Stableford or pairs Stableford for other days.
  • Prizes:
  • Agreed Micky Summers would look at obtaining a number of prizes to help keep costs down. Still to buy one prize at each course.
  • Payments for the day:
  • The 2-shot penalty for late payment will be enforced from the match planned for the 25th June 2001. (As agreed at 9th February 2001 meeting). Post dated cheques would be acceptable.
  • Payments:
  • Chris Turvill to receive cheques from the Downshire meeting. To be highlighted on next calling sheet.
  • Present booking of course is working fine - will endeavour to keep costs per event to £35.
  • Agreed it would be good to have a website. Frazer has offered to help and it is part ready. He would like more information to complete it and asked all to furnish him with details. The address for those who would like to visit it is: www.frazerwebb.com/bunkers.
  • All new players will play with introducing member on their first match.
  • John Waghorn is to organise our re-match against society in September.

  • 3. Captain's Report:
  • Society is running fine and pleased to see an increase in the membership. It was agreed to hold an end of year function/meal. There will be a trophy on offer for a player of the season, exact details to be decided but will probably be a 'Order of Merit' style award.

  • 4. Treasurer's Report:
  • Bank account is up and running with 3 authorised signatories.
  • Agreed any surplus monies should be kept for deposits for next year and not used on last match of the season.
